Holiday Club!!
29/07/2009 by paul.
Well this week is flying by. I’m in Knaresborough helping out KURC with a holiday club for primary school aged children. It’s a real privilege to work alongside these guys, but more then that its a really privelege to work for God in this way - telling children about what Jesus has done for them, meeting their parents and having a great time - showing that being a Christian is not about loads of rules a regulations, but that its about fun, and living the new life that Jesus bought for us when he died on the cross.
We’ve been looking at the birth of the church recorded in Acts, and each Peter (that’s me!) has been telling stories of the Day of Acension and hope, the Day of Pentecost and being filled, the day Simeon got healed (the lame man at the temple gate) and having faith, and tomorrow is all about Dorcas helping the poor and being raised to life and we’re called to love.
So there’s not much to be working on there then….
